Ulaanbaatar, April 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Military Band of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces (GSMAF) participated in the Jinhae Military Band and Honor Guard Festival at Changwon, Southern Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, on April 7, 2025
The Military Band and Honor Guard Festival featured the Military Band of the GSMAF, the Eighth Army Band’s Brass Alliance of the United States, the Army Band, Air Force Band, and the Ground Forces Band of the Republic of Korea, the Presidential Honor Guard Band, and the Changwon National Dance Company. While most military band festivals around the world are held under the slogan “Make Peace Without Weapons,” this Festival was held under the theme “We Stand Together” in tribute to those who lost their lives in recent wildfires.
The Festival was held for the 18th year, and the Mongolian Military Band previously participated with distinction in 2007 and 2016, receiving high recognition for its exceptional performance and for promoting Mongolia, its military, armed forces, and national and military culture. This Festival not only offers an opportunity to introduce Mongolia’s musical and military heritage to the international audience, but also to explore and learn other cultures, exchange experiences, and foster connections with fellow skilled musicians and conductors from around the world.
