Mongolian E-Sports Team “The MongolZ” Wins First Place and USD 500,000 in Berlin

Ulaanbaatar, November 7, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The “Thunderpick World Championship 2024” Counter-Strike 2 tournament held at the “LVL Dome Arena” in Berlin, the Federal Republic of Germany, concluded on November 4, 2024.


At the e-sports tournament, “The MongolZ” won first place, winning the trophy and a prize of USD 500,000. At the grand finals, the Mongolian team won 3:1 in a best-of-five match against “Heroic,” the world-class Norwegian team that was considered the strongest contestant in the tournament. As a result of winning the tournament, “The MongolZ” is now placed in the top five highest-ranking Counter-Strike 2 teams according to Valve’s ratings, following “Vitality,” “Spirit,” “NaVi,” and “G2.”


The next major tournament for “The MongolZ” is the Perfect Word Shanghai Major 2024, with a prize pool of USD 1,250,000 to be held in Shanghai, the People’s Republic of China, on November 11, 2024.
