Off-Road Ambulances Provided to Medical Centers in 17 Soums of 11 Aimags

Ulaanbaatar, August 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. With
the funding from the “Biodiversity and Adaptation to Climate Change” Project
being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of
Mongolia and the German Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KfW), ambulances have been provided to 17 soums of 11 aimags that are located in the Specially
Protected Areas as part of the development cooperation between Mongolia and the
Federal Republic of Germany.

Odontuya Saldan expressed gratitude to the Government of the Federal Republic
of Germany, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of
Germany, KfW, the German Embassy in Mongolia, and other organizations for
providing effective investment in the healthcare sector of Mongolia, giving
attention at the coordination of environmental, social, and health issues.
Considering the positive impacts of providing timely and
accessible social services to people living in rural areas, specially equipped
"Toyota Land Cruiser LC78" off-road ambulances were handed to the
medical centers in 17 soums of 11 aimags including Uvs, Khovd, Govi-Altai,
Bayan-Ulgii, and Bayankhongor aimag.
