Mongolian Citizens Can Now Apply for Visa at the Border of Indonesia

Ulaanbaatar, January 22, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Starting from January 9 of this year, citizens of Mongolia with ordinary foreign passports can now apply for a visa at the border of the Republic of Indonesia when traveling to or passing through the Republic of Indonesia for tourism purposes.


In other words, by adding Mongolia to the list of countries eligible to apply for a visa at the country's border, our citizens can apply for a short-term (up to 30-day) tourist visa for Indonesia for USD 35, which previously cost USD 150. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises citizens of our country to strictly observe the laws of the country and travel responsibly, avoiding overstaying their visas when visiting Indonesia.


Requirements for applying for a visa at the border of Indonesia: - The ordinary foreign passport must have a validity period of at least 6 months, - You must have a return flight ticket, - Visit the customs website https://ecd.beacukai.go.id to fill out the application online. The declaration with the QR code can be downloaded on a mobile phone or in paper form and shown to the customs officer.


Tourist, business, or transit visas can also be applied for in advance before entering the country. In this case, log in to the Indonesian Immigration Agency website at https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id and apply for the relevant visa electronically.
