The Best Scientific Works of 2023 Awarded

Ulaanbaatar, December 5, 2023 /MONTSAME.  This year two books and four scientific articles were awarded Best Scientific Works of 2023 on December 4, 2023. The Ministry of Education and Culture of Mongolia annually selects the Best Scientific Works in different scientific fields, that are published in international reputable academic journals and proceedings of scientific conferences.

 

The Best Scientific Work - Books

-"New Developments of Newton-Type Iterations for Solving Nonlinear Problems" by Academician T. Janlav, Laureate of the State Premium of Mongolia,  and Academician O. Chuluubaatar, Laureate of the State Premium of Mongolia,  is about creating a one-stop source to get acquainted with mathematical methods. The book, published in English as a course material for Mongolian and international universities, is a review of 30 academic articles spanning 10 years of research.

-"Birds of Mongolia" by S. Gombobaatar, Professor at the National University of Mongolia (NUM) and President of the Mongolian Ornithological Society, is the first two-volume field guide to the birds of Mongolia.

Articles with the highest impact in their fields, registered in the Springer Nature Publishers Dimension database:

-"Antibacterial activity and characteristics of silver nanoparticles biosynthesized from Carduus crispus" by O. Enerelt, Lecturer at the School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology, NUM.

-"Risk and vulnerability of Mongolian grasslands under climate change" by B. Nandintsetseg, Guest-Researcher at the School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology, NUM.

-"Factors Associated with COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy in Mongolia: A Web-Based Cross-Sectional Survey" by Professor D. Davaalkham, Director of the School of Public Health, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences.

-"Intergenerational learning of traditional knowledge through informal education: the Mongolian context" by E. Batchuluun, Lecturer at the School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Geography, NUM.
