“Model UN 2023” Conference Held for 18th Time

/MONTSAME. The annual "Model UN" conference organized by the School
of Political Science, International Relations and Public Administration of the
National University of Mongolia (NUM) was held November 25-26, 2023 at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Library of the NUM.
A total of 100 students from the NUM, the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the Mongolian University of Life Sciences, the University of the Humanities, the Mongolia International University, and secondary schools participated in the Conference on the theme "World Divided: A Vision for Global Solidarity, Peace, and Sustainable Future."
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by P. Baasankhuu, Deputy Director General of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vinod Ahuja, FAO Representative in Mongolia, and S. Munkhbat, Dean of the School of Political Science, International Relations and Public Administration of the National University of Mongolia while Sandra Choufani, Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia, and Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative in Mongolia took part in the closing ceremony.
"Model UN" is an
internationally known academic activity that encourages students to learn more
about politics, international relations, history, society, and economics to
apply their theoretical knowledge into practice.
The 18th
"Model-UN 2023" conference was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
