Embassy of Türkiye and MONTSAME Agency to Continue Cooperation

November 21, 2023, Zafer Ateş, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to
Mongolia visited MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency.
Director
General of MONTSAME, Sodontogos Erdenetsogt, introduced the activities of
the agency to Ambassador Zafer Ateş and the two sides exchanged views on a wide
range of cooperation issues and agreed to closely cooperate in the future.
Ambassador
Zafer Ateş highlighted that relations between Mongolia and Türkiye have been
strengthening in the past years and expressed his intention to focus on cooperation
in infrastructure, economy, trade, culture, history, tourism, and medical
tourism. The Ambassador also expressed interest in collaborating with the
MONTSAME agency to disseminate accurate and reliable information on relations
and cooperation between the two countries in history, culture, and other areas
of cooperation and produce site reports about specific cultural events and
projects.
Director General E. Sodontogos noted that the Agency has a long-standing cooperation with the Turkish Embassy and is ready to continue traditional cooperation in all possible areas. Emphasizing that the Agency is expanding its activities and carrying out some reforms, she expressed interest in cooperation with the Turkish side in capacity building, retraining personnel, and studying the experience of organizations engaged in similar activities.
Director General E. Sodontogos stated
the Agency’s willingness to renew the Memorandum of Cooperation with the
Turkish news agency ANADOLU, which has been cooperating with MONTSAME for many
years, and expressed her confidence that the Turkish Embassy and Ambassador
Zafer Ateş convey the proposals and requests to the relevant organizations and
cooperate to realize them.
