Foreign Minister Receives Ambassador of Canada Sandra Choufani

Minister of
Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh received Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia Sandra Choufani on November 17, 2023.
At the Meeting with
the Ambassador, Minister B. Battsetseg highlighted that Mongolia attaches
great importance to developing relations with Canada, a significant third
neighbor of Mongolia. The Minister noted that this year the two countries are
celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between Mongolia and Canada. She congratulated Ambassador S. Choufani on
presenting her Letter of Credence to President U. Khurelsukh and wished her
success and noted that all-round support will be given in her future endeavors.

Choufani expressed her commitment to actively work towards advancing relations
and cooperation between Mongolia and Canada, especially in agriculture and
renewable energy.
