Prime Minister Receives French Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar, January 26 /MONTSAME/. On January 26, Prime Minister of Mongolia L. Oyun-Erdene received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Mongolia Sebastien Surun and exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation.


While underlining that the Government of Mongolia is implementing the New Recovery Policy to stimulate the post-pandemic economic recovery under the six objectives aimed at enhancing the operations of border checkpoints, recovering energy and industrial sectors, ensuring the balanced urban and rural development, and improving the government productivity, the Prime Minister emphasized the broad opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the policy. Moreover, the Prime Minister noted that the implementation of the major development projects that are in line with the interests of the two countries is of great significance.


For his part, the Ambassador expressed confidence that this year would be an important year for relations and cooperation between Mongolia and France.


The sides concurred on the successful implementation of joint projects in the fields of culture, education, science, and agriculture.
