MOU established between Mining Ministries of Mongolia and Chile

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On June 15, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia G.Yondon met with Secretary of State of the Ministry of Mining of the Republic of Chile Willy Kracht Gajardo and exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the mining sector.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the ministries on cooperation in the mineral
sector.
Chile is the world's main exporter of
copper - about 30 percent of copper ore comes from the country to the world
market. The MOU is important for exchanging
information on the regulations and activities related to the copper concentrate
processing plant, improving the legal environment in the mining sector,
cooperation in the field of mineral exploration, and supporting cooperation between
companies and organizations of the two countries.
