Muralist Heesco receives awards at Australian Street Art Awards

/MONTSAME/ Mongolian-Australian muralist Kh.Khosnaran known by the artist name
Heesco won four awards at the Australian Street Art Awards that took place last
week.
The murals
depicting the local life and history Heesco created in the town of
Yarram brought the artist his second Gold award in Best Street Art.
The
artist received Silver award in Best Monument or Memorial for his ‘Mongolian Light
Horsemen’ mural in Yarram where he portrayed Chin Langtip, one of the
people of Mongolian descent that came to Australia in 1850s, whose four
children took part in the World War II, from a photograph taken in 1878.
The
Best Mega Mural Gold award and the Best Rural Art Bronze award also went to the
artist for the Dorothea Mackellar memorial mural he created on a 30 m tall silo
in the town of Gunnedah.
Moreover, Wayne Tindall, an artist who collaborated with Heesco on the Heesco Town Yarram and other projects, won the Outstanding Contribution to Australian Art Tourism Award.
