Minister of Culture meets Ambassador of Italy

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin held a meeting with Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Mongolia Laura Botta.
The sides exchanged views on extending the Intergovernmental Program on Cooperation in Education, Science and Sports established between the two countries in 2017, which expired in 2020, and joint efforts to take to ensure its implementation.
They deem it necessary to support cooperation in film and television production and intensify partnerships between professional organizations as part of the intergovernmental program. The Italian Ambassador said there is an opportunity to establish a partnership between Italy’s Rai broadcasting organization and Mongolian National Broadcaster. Welcoming the proposal, Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin said it would be a significant step in the development of bilateral cultural cooperation if the public broadcasting organizations of the two countries start working together and exchange films and programs about the cultures of Mongolia and Italy.
Minister Ch.Nomin added that Mongolia plans to take part in the 59th Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition to take place in Venice, Italy from April 23 to November 27, 2022 and Ambassador Laura Botta expressed appreciation of Mongolia’s participation in the event in 2015, 2017, and 2019 and pledged support.
