Mongolian Red Cross Society donates 50,000 PCR test kits

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. With the support of the Chinese Red Cross Society, the Mongolian Red Cross Society has donated 50,000 PCR test kits worth MNT 658 million to the Ministry of Health.
“The Mongolian Red Cross Society has been working closely with the Ministry of Health to support the health sector in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. A clear example of this is the 50,000 PCR test kits we are receiving today. We would like to thank the Chinese Red Cross Society and the Mongolian Red Cross Society for the donation at this time when the wave of omicron variant is intensifying”, said Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health Ts.Erdembileg during the handover ceremony.
In 2020-2022, the Mongolian Red Cross Society has donated a total of MNT 2.9 billion worth of respirators, ambulances, diagnostic kits, as well as disinfection packages to bolster up the health sector.
The ceremony was attended by, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health Ts.Erdembileg, Advisor to the Minister of Health O.Batbayar, Secretary General of the Mongolian Red Cross Society N.Bolormaa, and other officials.
