Cooperation in tourism to be deepened with Bulgaria

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia and the Ministry of Environment and Water of Bulgaria signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of environment in 2003.


With aims to intensify the implementation of the agreement, Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Urtnasan and other relevant officials of the ministry have held a virtual meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Bulgaria L.Saynaa.


During the meeting, they discussed establishing contacts between tourism organizations of the two countries, supporting the increase in the number of tourists, training Mongolian tourism personnel in hotels in major cities with developed tourism culture, and developing tourism cooperation with Cyprus. The meeting also touched on studying the possibilities of cooperating in the abovementioned areas with Macedonia, where film tourism is highly developed.


Head of the Tourism Policy Coordination Department of the ministry A.Enkhbat said, “Mongolian tourism associations exchange information on companies and organizations that can cooperate with the country in the field of hotels and hospitality services. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism will be a bridge for the two sides to cooperate in this area and support the private sector”.

The two sides agreed to consolidate the necessary information and research and present it at their next meeting.
