Mongolia elected as Vice-Chair of IPDC Bureau

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Programme
for the Development of Communication (IPDC) of the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization on November 25, the new chair, rapporteur and
vice-chairs of the IPDC Bureau were elected. In the election, Sweden was
elected as Chairperson, Mongolia, Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Madagascar,
Lebanon, and Russia as Vice-Chairs, and Namibia as Rapporteur.
The IPDC Bureau convenes
annually to select and approve projects and plan meetings of the IPDC Council.
Mongolia served as the IPDC Bureau’s
vice-chair in 2016-2018 and Kh.Naranjargal, Chairwoman of the Mongolian
National Committee on the IPDC, will represent Mongolia in the Bureau.
