Ambassador to Russia visits St. Petersburg State University of Economics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation D.Davaa on September 28 who is on a working visit to Saint Petersburg visited the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics.

 

The university’s Vice-rector on International Relations Dmitry Vasilenko Head of the International Relations Department Oleg Zolotokrylin welcomed the Ambassador and told him about the history and the curriculum of the university.

 

Afterwards, Ambassador D.Davaa held a meeting with the university’s Rector Igor Maksimtsev. At the meeting, Ambassador D.Davaa thanked the university for educating Mongolian youth in finance and economics over decades, underscoring that some of Mongolia’s leading specialists graduated from the university. The Ambassador also said the Mongolian Embassy is ready to support the university in taking measures to increase the number of its Mongolian students.

 

Rector Igor Maksimtsev said the university plans to double the number of its students on government scholarship and expressed hope that a large number of Mongolian students will choose the university. “There are activities we plan to carry out with our graduates. They will be implemented as soon as the pandemic subsides,” said the Rector, thanking the Mongolian Embassy for its readiness to provide support.

  

During the Ambassador’s visit to Saint Petersburg, a meeting was held between the Embassy of Mongolia and Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography, at which the museum’s Director Andre Golovnev presented projects the museum plans to implement.
