COVID-19 prevention measures at border checkpoints for coal export to be improved

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on September 22, the Cabinet decided to take the following measures to step up COVID-19 prevention measures at border checkpoints for coal export.
A molecular biology laboratory will be put into operation to improve infection prevention measures for Gashuunsukhait checkpoint and Tsagaan Khad residential area. Another PCR laboratory will be created with funding from the Government Reserve Fund to ensure normal operations at Nariinsukhait coal deposit and normal coal export. Moreover, two vehicles will be provided to the Health Department of Umnugobi aimag for use in COVID-19 prevention and health care services at border checkpoints.
A design plan will be developed to extend Gobi Gurvansaikhan airport of Umnugobi aimag.
