Speaker of the Parliament delivers speech at the Asia-Pacific Research Center of Stanford University

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. During
his working visit to the USA, Speaker of Parliament G.Zandanshatar held a
meeting with the authorities of Asia Foundation and visited the Asia-Pacific
Research Center at Stanford University.
At the research center, Speaker of the Parliament
G.Zandanshatar delivered a speech on ‘Challenges in Strengthening Democracy’.
He
emphasized the importance of the amendment to the Constitution of Mongolia in accordance
with the needs and social requirements of that time, participation
of citizens and scholars in the process, as well as reaching consensus among
the political stakeholders.
After becoming familiarized with the
operation of Stanford University, the Speaker of the Parliament had a meeting
with Executive Director of the San Francisco Film Commission, Mrs. Susannah
Greason Robbins.
The
San Francisco Film Commission seeks to develop the film industry to create job
opportunities, reap economic benefits, and attract tourists and investors. The commission authorizes the production
of feature-length film, television and Internet series, shows, documentaries,
commercials, and photography in San Francisco.
