Mongolia expresses interest in intensifying cooperation in education sector

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On September 13, B.Munkhjin, Deputy Minister of Foreign of Mongolia, held a meeting with Nigel Adams, Minister of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office at UK Government, in London to exchange views on the bilateral relations and cooperation.


Noting that Mongolia-UK relations play an important role in Mongolia’s foreign policy, Deputy Foreign Minister B.Munkhjin expressed the country’s interest in increasing bilateral trade and British investment, as well as intensifying cooperation in the education sector. Mr. Munkhjin also shared views on some issues facing the international community, such as climate change and cyber security.


Mr. Adams reaffirmed the British interest in strengthening and expanding bilateral relations and expressed its commitment to cooperate in exploring opportunities to increase trade and investment, intensifying cooperation in the education sector as well as providing support to increase English language training.


It was the first face-to-face meeting between the ministries, which had been suspended for almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
