3,766 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported
during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 3,766 new
coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours after tests were carried
out at PCR laboratories across the country.
In specific, 1,271 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city
and 2,494 cases were detected in rural regions.
As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 236,079. In the last 24 hours, 3,175 coronavirus patients were recovered and discharged from hospital. The Ministry also reported six new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 968.
Currently, 18,941 people are receiving hospital treatment for
COVID-19 whilst 28,890 people with mild symptoms of COVID-19 are being isolated
at home.
As of today, a total of 2,103,782 people have received the
second dose of vaccines against COVID-19, equal to 64.7 percent of the total
population of Mongolia
