Hungary’s Foreign Minister pays courtesy call on Parliament Speaker of Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On July 29, Hungarian delegates led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the State Great Khural of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar during his working visit to Mongolia.
After underlining that Mongolia considers Hungary as an important partner in the Eastern Europe, Speaker Zandanshatar conveyed gratitude to Hungarian government for providing a humanitarian assistance of essential respirators to Mongolia to overcome its fight against the pandemic and to alleviate the negative impact of the COVID-19 in the country’s economy and society.
Hungary’s Minister Péter Szijjártó noted that longstanding and friendly relations between Mongolia and Hungary serves as a stable foundation for bilateral cooperation in each and every field and highlighted the Hungary pays special attention on large scale development projects between Mongolia and Hungary, such as BioKombinat restoration project, where international standard laboratories for veterinary vaccination equipped with high capacity facilities are under development.
Also within the framework of the BioKombinat project, infrastructure, electricity supply and engineering network as well as trained human resources to be employed at the BioKombinat factory will be made available for continuous operation of the factory. The Hungarian Minister asked from Speaker Zandanshatar to pay attention on intensifying the project operations. “The successful implementation of the project will enable future projects in water management and agriculture” said Minister Péter Szijjártó.
Speaker Zandanshatar pledged to provide all-round support from the Mongolian parliament for the BioKombinat renovation project while highlighting the importance of active cooperation between the legislative branches of the two nations in strengthening the regulatory framework for bilateral cooperation.
Mentioning that the political ties of Mongolia and Hungary have become more solid together with deepening relations in cultural and education partnership, Speaker Zandanshatar vowed to introduce Hungarian experience in cultural and filmmaking to Mongolia and advance cooperation in these areas. The Speaker then mentioned that Mongolia is working to create a movie about Bat Khan and Attila the Hun with support from Hungary.
