Three nationals of Poland awarded state honor and decorations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia issued a decree to award high state honor and decorations some Polish nationals. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Poland B.Dorj presented the awards at the Mongolian Embassy on July 21.

 

Specifically, Mongolist, scientist Agata Bareja-Starzyńska from University of Warsaw, was awarded the high state award Order of the Polar Star for her contributions to the development of Mongolian studies. Ms. Agata Bareja-Starzynska currently works at the Department of Turkish Studies and Inner Asian Peoples, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw. Besides her contribution to the long development of Mongolian studies in Poland, the PhD has written numerous research books, papers, and articles. She received the ‘Best Foreign Mongolist Award’ awarded under the auspices of the President of Mongolia in 2004, and the ‘Friendship’ medal in 2010.

 

Also, the Chair of the Poland-Mongolia Parliamentary Group of Polish Sejm was awarded the ‘Friendship’ medal for his efforts and contributions in promoting Mongolian culture and traditions, and developing Mongolia-Poland inter-parliamentary relations and President of Poland’s Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products Grzegorz Cessak was also awarded the ‘Friendship’ medal for his support, efforts, and contributions for the expansion of Mongolia-Poland relations and the development of bilateral cooperation in health care.
