Prime Minister meets representatives from Transparency International Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On July 19, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene received representatives from Transparency International Mongolia to exchange views. 


After informing that the government has established a working group to eliminate corruption and improve corruption index of Mongolia within next two years, the Prime Minister highlighted that regulatory framework – underlying factor causing the bureaucratic corruption will be improved, and the digital transition is to become accelerated. 


The sides shared views on issues on amendments to the laws on minerals and political parties and development of bill for whistleblowers, and improvement of anti-corruption civic education. 


The Transparency International representatives expressed their willingness to provide their input for the two-year government action plan to combat corruption and organize training programs against corruption. 


PM Oyun-Erdene sought assistance from the international civil society organization for the government’s working group against corruption.
