Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. June 28, 2021. At the plenary session of the State Great khural, the draft revised Law on the Legal Status of Ulaanbaatar, the Capital City of Mongolia was agreed to discuss and after reviewing, transferred to affiliate Standing Committee for the first hearing.
June 29, 2021. Kh.Badelkhan, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Mongolian-Kazakh Parliamentary Group in the Parliament met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zhalgas Adilbayev. During the meeting, Ambassador noted that the Kazakh Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems has developed the QazVac, vaccine against COVID-19, and in the form of humanitarian aid, the Government of Kazakhstan is ready to donate its locally developed vaccines to Mongolia.
June 29, 2021. Kh.Nyambaatar, Member of the State Great Khural, Member of the Government and Minister of Justice and Home Affairs, submitted the draft law on amending the 2021 Budget Law and other related draft laws of Mongolia.
June 29, 2021. At the Ad-hoc meeting on “Ensuring Mongolia's interests in the development of the Oyu Tolgoi deposit”, it was resolved to require the Government on studying the possibility of improving the Oyu Tolgoi investment agreement, terminating the Dubai agreement and compensating Mongolia, continuing to intensify the counterclaim in the London Arbitration Court. Also, to compare the Oyu Tolgoi copper concentrate sales agreement with other similar domestic agreements and to present the findings to the Ad-hoc.
June 29, 2021. At the plenary session of the State Great Khural, the amendment to the Law on Prevention, Combat, and Reduction of Social and Economic Impacts of the COVID-19 of the Coronavirus Infection (KOVID-19) was ratified effective until December 21, 2021.
June 30, 2021. Minister of Labor and Social Welfare A.Ariunzaya submitted a revised draft of the Law on Vocational Education and Training to the Chairman of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar.
June 30, 2021. Chairman of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar received chess players to participate in the 2021 World Chess Cup, B.Naranbaatar, a member of the Board of the Mongolian Chess Federation, Ch.Battuvshin, the coach of the national team, and D.Turmunkh, the coach of the World Chess Federation.
June 30, 2021. Head of the Cabinet Secretariat, Minister Ts.Nyamdorj presented a draft bill on amendments to the Law on Development Policy, Planning and Management, a draft law on Cyber Security.
July 01, 2021. Chief of Staff of the Office of the President Ya.Sodbaatar presented a proposal of the President of Mongolia to recall and appoint 24 Ambassadors of Mongolia to abroad.
June 30, 2021. Within the Annual Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), virtual meeting of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions was held with the participation of more than 180 parliamentarians. At the meeting, the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia was represented by Mr. Tsogtbaatar Damdin, MP and Head of the Mongolian Delegation to the OSCE PA.
July 01, 2021. Women parliamentarians of the State Great Khural called a press conference to postpone the 2021 Naadam Festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
July 01, 2021. MP N.Uchral represents Mongolian Parliament in the virtual meeting of the Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment.
July 02, 2021. At the plenary session of the State Great Khural, final hearings were held and the Law of Labor, Law of Supporting the Art of Cinema, and the Law of Culture were ratified. The proposal of the President of Mongolia to recall and appoint 24 Ambassadors of Mongolia to abroad was discussed and agreed. Also, the Law of Amnesty was discussed and approved behind closed doors.
