EU, World Vision providing nutrition packages to vulnerable children and families

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The European Union and World Vision are providing nutrition packages to the most vulnerable children and their families in Ulaanbaatar and Bayan-Ulgii and Uvurkhangai provinces affected by the impact of COVID-19. 


H.E. Mr Traian Hristea, Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia, participated in one of the food distribution events in the 20th khoroo of Ulaanbaatar’s Bayanzurkh District on 15 June 2021. On this occasion, he met with the Governor of 20th khoroo of Bayanzurkh District, Mr. Gombosuren Ts, the National Director of World Vision Mongolia, Mrs. Bolortsetseg Bold, Head of partnering local CSO “Uran Achlal”, Mrs.Tsend.A, "Titem Urgats", N.Sunderya, and volunteers and exchanged views on the project and the progress of its implementation.


The grant project “Recovering Together” supported by the European Union, and implemented by World Vision, launched in November 2020. The main objective of the project is to support vulnerable households impacted by COVID-19 through livelihood recovery assistance and supporting their access to nutrition, health and WASH services to meet basic urgent needs. Furthermore, the project will strengthen the healthcare system by ensuring health facilities are equipped with COVID-19 response and prevention equipment.
