Cost for purchase of PCR test kits to be funded from Government's Reserve Fund

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Following decisions were made at the Cabinet meeting dated March 17.


- The Cabinet resolves to cover required funding from the Government’s Reserve Fund for purchase of PCR test and rapid test kits, other necessary items and the extra cost for overtime pays to healthcare workers, who worked overtime during immunization campaign.  


- Operational regulation for the Economic Policy Council under the Prime Minister has been approved. The council undertakes duty to provide professional assistance and support to the activities of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet by making professional studies and analysis and issuing recommendations related to economic policy. Non-staff members representing public organization, university, college, private sector and professional association work at the council.


- A draft law on virtual asset service provider and other related bills will be submitted to the Parliament. Virtual assets are intangible assets that can be traded and transferred digitally and can be used for payment and investment purposes. Although the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed Mongolia from its grey list, the country is still undertaking duty to create legal environment to regulate relations related to virtual asset.


- The Cabinet backs a bill on Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and the Slovak Republic on International Road Transport. It is considered proper to commence transports between the two countries by exchanging transportation permission notes  until the agreement is established. Mongolia imports goods such as jam, sugar, cheese, chocolate, wine, toothpaste, sanitary items, leather shoes, clothing, water equipment and electric and gas devices from the European Union, especially from Slovakia, while Mongolia exports prefabricated Mongolian ger, wool and cashmere products. 

 

- The Cabinet also supports a draft bill on Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and the Republic of Slovenia on international auto transport of passengers and cargo.  Transportation permission notes will be exchanged between the two countries until the agreement is concluded. Mongolia imports goods such as human and animal blood, vaccine, and medical equipment from Slovenia while the country exports wool and cashmere products.
