Parliament's standing committee supports President’s proposal to appoint Oyun-Erdene as PM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the Article 28.1 of the Law on Session Procedures of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, it states that the Standing Committee on State Structure shall discuss the nominee for Prime Minister within 3 working days after the President of Mongolia submits his proposal to the State Great Hural in accordance with Article 39.2 of the Constitution of Mongolia.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee on State Structure heard the President’s proposal today, January 27, which was introduced by Head of the Office of the President U.Shijir.
Board members of the ruling Mongolian People’s Party unanimously agreed to promote the incumbent Chief Cabinet Secretary of Mongolia, MP OYUN-ERDENE Luvsannamsrai, 41, for the next Prime Minister and at today’s Standing Committee meeting on State Structure, 14 members out of 16 supported the President’s proposal to appoint Mr. L.Oyun-Erdene as the 32nd Prime Minister of Mongolia and to introduce at the afternoon plenary session.
