One new COVID-19 case confirmed in Gobisumber, total stands at 455

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Five people have been detected with coronavirus after tests were carried out on 529 people, who are close contacts of community transmission recorded in Ulaanbaatar city, making the number of infected people 15. The test results for 3700 persons, who had indirect contacts diagnosed negative. While six people were tested positive for COVID-19 when tests were conducted on over 300 people yesterday in Selenge aimag. Thus, the number of confirmed cases reached 10 in Selenge aimag. Also one person diagnosed with the coronavirus in Gobisumber aimag when surveillance tests conducted on residents living along railway. Now there are two clusters including Ulaanbaatar city and settlement areas along the railway recorded. Therefore, we are calling residents living in settlement areas along the railway to be involved in COVID-19 test,” Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases A.Ambaselmaa briefed at today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health.
Thus, 455 confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Mongolia with 329 recoveries. 119 people are receiving treatment at the NCCD and three of them are in critical, two are in serious and 94 are in mild health condition.
A total of 183 are undergoing medical supervision and surveillance at the NCCD.
