WHO donates medical equipment worth USD 96,000

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International organizations are providing support to Government responsive measures being taken against COVID-19 infection. In the frames of it, Minister of Health T.Munkhsaikhan and WHO Representative in Mongolia Sergey Diorditsa visited yesterday the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) and the Military Central Hospital and handed over medical supplies and equipment worth USD 96,000 donated by the World Health Organization.


During the event, Mr. Sergey Diorditsa said “WHO will cooperate and provide all round support to Mongolia to overcome the coronavirus pandemic with less damage. We will further focus on helping with other necessary equipment and items.”

"Today, we handed over necessary items including protective gears for doctors and hospital workers, respiratory apparatus and monitor donated by the WHO to hospitals. Intensive treatment unit of the NCCD has 20 respiratory apparatus and additional apparatus will be installed from tomorrow. Also equipment and devices are under installation at the newly commissioned Maternal and Child Health Center in Yarmag, Minister of Health T.Munkhsaikhan underlined.
