Ambassador to Poland visits Legnickie Pole

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Poland B.Dorj attended the opening of Mongolia section at Legnickie Pole Commune Office.
During the opening ceremony, Ambassador B.Dorj and Legnickie Pole Commune Mayor Rafał Plezia signed a memorandum between the Embassy of Mongolia in Poland and Legnickie Pole Commune on planned measures in connection with the celebration of the 780th anniversary of Battle of Legnica in June 2021. Moreover, Dr. Agata Bareja-Starzyńska from University of Warsaw gave a lecture on ‘Mongols: From Asia to Europe, XIII-XXI Century’
The Mongolia section team consisting of Mongolists will be in charge of the preparations for the celebration of the 780 anniversary of Battle of Legnica in addition to organizing events aimed at promoting the country.
The sides exchanged views on improving the annual celebratory theatrical performance depicting the battle in 1241. There are also plans to hold an academic conference, exhibitions, and cultural events as part of the anniversary celebration.
Ambassador B.Dorj visited the Museum of the Battle of Legnica at the commune office.
