Parliamentary Research Institute to cooperate with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 6,  Senior advisor to the Speaker of Parliament D.Lundeejantsan and Director of the Parliamentary Research Institute of the Secretariat of the Parliament T.Bayarmaa met with Resident Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) in Mongolia Johann Fuhrmann.


Noting the country’s traditional cooperation with the KAS in outspreading democratic values since permanent parliament was founded in Mongolia, senior advisor to the Speaker of Parliament D.Lundeejantsan said it is pleasant to remember the cooperation during the development and discussion of democratic, new Constitution of Mongolia.


While expressing his position that Mongolia should be loyal to its choice for parliamentary system, Mr. D.Lundeejantsan voiced willingness to collaborate in conducting researches required for formulating laws related to political party, political party funding, mineral resources and property according to amendments made to the Constitution. He also briefed priority directions of the newly established Parliamentary Research Institute of the Secretariat of the Parliament and requested to provide support for building up permanent cooperation between the Parliamentary Research Institute and Bundestag Research Institute.


KAS Representative in Mongolia Johann Furhmann pointed out that objectives of the Parliamentary Research Institute of the Secretariat of the Parliament are complying with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung's goal to develop democratic state and social institutions and warmly accepted the proposal to cooperate and provide support.   


Since the institute has founded newly, Director of the Parliamentary Research Institute T.Bayarmaa also asked to develop partnership in capacity building, conducting researches for formulating bills, and disseminating parliamentary education to the public.
