Construction of Tolgoit sub center kicks off

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Construction of Tolgoit subcenter, the third phase of “Ulaanbaatar Urban Services and Ger Areas Development Investment Program”, commenced yesterday, on September 29.
Tolgoit subcenter will cover 153.4 hectares of land in Songinokhairkhan district and 26 km drinking water pipeline, 6 km sewer line, 78 km heating line, 14 km power line and 69 km auto road will be built within it.
Moreover, engineering infrastructure and social facilities such as garden park on 74 ha of land, 240-child kindergarten, Public Development Center, Training Center and Health Center will be built. The subcenter is expected to expand pre-school aged children’s involvement in kindergarten, increase the number of skilled workers by providing people with professional training and improve access of support and service rendered to business owners. Furthermore, with commissioning of engineering infrastructure such as auto road, heating, water and electric supplies, access of public transport service will be made close to the citizens living in ger areas.
The project will be implemented in three phases with soft loan of the Asian Development Bank and the European Investment Bank in connection with realization of Ulaanbaatar City Urban Development Master Plan 2030.
Construction of Bayankhoshuu and Selbe subcenters, the first phase of the project, is currently 82 percent complete while construction of Denjiin myanga and Dambadarjaa subcenters is 24.47 percent complete.
