Four more people test positive, total COVID-19 cases in Mongolia at 297

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health, Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) A.Ambaselmaa reported that from the tests carried out on 487 people in the past 24 hours, 4 people have tested positive for coronavirus. 


The patients are two women aged 20 and 73, who are staying under isolation after arriving on a charter flight from Prague to Ulaanbaatar on August 11, a 24-year-old man, who was put into 21-day mandatory isolation in Orkhon aimag after entering through Altanbulag border checkpoint in Selenge aimag from Russia, and a 65-year-old Russian woman, who was put into mandatory isolation in Darkhan-Uul aimag.


Thus, the total number of confirmed cases in Mongolia reached 297, and 269 of them have recovered. Among the recoveries, 76 have been transferred to the next stage of isolation, while the isolation periods for the rest of them have ended. The latest confirmed COVID-19 cases prior to today's cases were recorded on August 2.
