Mongolia, Kazakhstan exchange views on COVID-19, bilateral cooperation
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On August 12, Deputy Prime Minister Ya.Sodbaatar received Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zhalgas Zh. Adilbayev.
Ambassador Zhalgas Zh. Adilbayev highlighted the Mongolian
Government’s prompt response to the COVID-19, and exchanged views on increasing
the opportunity for the exchange of experience and information between the
professional organizations of the two countries in the field of COVID-19 prevention
and protection.
In connection with rapidly increasing COVID-19 infection around
the world, Mongolian nationals abroad have applied to come home. Among them, 1,300
Mongolians in Kazakhstan submitted their request to return home, and over 200
of them have been repatriated until today. Another charter flight is to be arranged to Nur Sultan city soon to bring more people. He also said that the Mongolian Government is
ready to cooperate with the Embassy in repatriating Kazakh citizens in Mongolia
to Kazakhstan.
Both sides concurred to pay great attention to further expansion of trade and economic cooperation, enrichment of bilateral ties with economic content, and joint implementation of major projects that will make a significant contribution to the two economies.
