Deputy Foreign Minister meets British Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August
10, Mr. Munkhjin Batsumber, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, received Mr.
Philip Malone, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia, and exchanged views
on bilateral relations as well as international and regional cooperation.

congratulated Deputy Foreign Minister B. Munkhjin on his appointment and wished
him success in his future endeavors.

underlined the importance of strengthening the friendly ties between the two
countries, maintaining the frequent high-level reciprocal visits and talks, and
continuing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and expressed his eagerness to
develop cooperation in the fields of economic, trade and investment.
The two sides shared the view
that bilateral and international cooperation and solidarity is vital in the
fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and agreed to continue working to
implement the planned activities, within the framework of bilateral
cooperation, in line with the current situation.
