Views exchanged on increasing trade turnover between Mongolia and Vietnam

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs N.Enkhtaivan today met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Mongolia Ms. Doan Thi Huong.
Noting that Mongolia considers Vietnam as its main partner in Southeast Asia, giving significance to develop relations in all aspects, Minister N.Enkhtaivan expressed the country’s willingness to advance the level of bilateral ties in the future.
The two parties shared views on bringing the trade turnover between Mongolia and Vietnam to USD 100 million and establishing an export-oriented joint factory.
To expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the two sides need to resolve food hygiene certificate issue, which is required to export
deeply frozen meat from Mongolia to Vietnam, Minister N.Enkhtaivan underlined. The
Foreign Minister also informed that Mongolia plans to conduct a charter
flight in route Ulaanbaatar-Hanoi-New Delhi in the near future to
bring Mongolian nationals stranded in Vietnam and India back to their home
country and asked the Ambassador to render support on this matter.
