Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President of India Ram Nath Kovind has sent a letter of greetings to President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga on the occasion of the Mongolian National Holiday – Naadam Festival. The congratulatory letter reads “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Mongolia on the occasion of your National Day.

Our two countries have a long-standing relationship based on shared ideals of democracy, freedom and Buddhist heritage. Our strategic partnership today spans areas as diverse as political, economical, cultural, education, defense and strategic fields.

Your visit to India last year further consolidated our cooperation and helped expand our cooperation with Mongolia as its ‘third neighbor’. As we celebrate the 65th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, we reiterate our commitment to further deepen our mutually beneficial ties with our ‘spiritual neighbor’.

Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Mongolia.

With the assurance of my highest consideration.”

(Ram Nath Kovind)
