Construction of bike path between Marshall Bridge and Uliastai Bridge at 90 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of the 2030 Master Plan to develop autoroads, construction work is currently being done for bike paths en route Yarmag-Zaisan-Marshall Bridge covering a distance of 52 km in eight areas.

 

Officials led by Governor of the Capital City and Acting Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city J.Batbayasgalan and Ulaanbaatar General Manager T.Gantumur became acquainted with the progress of a 7.1 km bike path along the bank of Tuul River.


As of today, the construction of the bike path is at 90 percent completion. With a width of 3 meters including the pedestrian path along it, appropriate asphalt layers, street illumination, rest areas, monitoring cameras, and landscaping are being done according to international standards.

 

Governor of the Capital City J.Batbayasgalan highlighted the importance of completing its construction on time as well as its quality, and obliged Ulaanbaatar General Manager T.Gantumur to have an official appointed to be in charge of keeping the bike path in good shape following its opening.
