Virtual meeting held for Mongolia-China cooperation mechanism

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The second virtual conference for Mongolia-China cooperation mechanism in response to COVID-19 pandemic was held on July 3.
The virtual conference was headed by the Department of Neighboring Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and attended by representatives of border, customs, specialized inspection, trade and transport as well as staff members from the Embassies in the two countries.
At a time when the threat of a pandemic still exists, the sides agreed to continue economic cooperation especially transportation of goods and people under the condition of restrictions and agreed on a temporary procedure "Green Gateway" to be implemented during the pandemic. This will allow people with reasonable excuses and foreign experts to enter the country amid COVID-19 to take part in bilateral trade, logistics, manufacturing, maintenance, and development projects.
