Over 11 thousand Mongolians repatriated since COVID-19

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Operative team of the State Emergency Commission (SEC) gave a briefing today on measures  taken so far in connection with COVID-19 pandemic.


Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mongolia has organized 26 charter flights, bringing 5916 nationals home. Moreover, 5588 nationals have been repatriated by ground transport and total number of Mongolians brought from abroad by air and ground transport reached 11504.


In June, 6 charter flights have been conducted bringing 2358 citizens home. According to the decision made by the SEC, 5 more charter flights are scheduled to be arranged in July.


As of today, 2558 people are under mandatory isolation in 27 isolation facilities and 664 people are under home observation nationwide.
