19 new imported COVID-19 cases detected, total jumps to 61
Video19 new imported COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Mongolia, Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD) D.Nyamkhuu reports at today’s daily COVID-19 briefing of the Ministry of Health.
Specifically, an individual, who was put into compulsory quarantine at the NCCD upon arrival from Frankfurt on May 3 on a charter flight, tested positive for COVID-19 as a result of repeated testing.
Moreover, 18 Mongolian military students who arrived from Russia yesterday tested positive. By doing so, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Mongolia is now at 61, all are imported from abroad.
A total of 375 people were tested yesterday at two laboratories of the NCCD and NCCD branch in Darkhan-Uul aimag. 25 freight vehicle driver who crossed the Altanbulag border checkpoint tested negative.
132 people are currently being monitored at the NCCD and the people diagnosed with COVID-19 are in stable condition.
