Ambassador to Cuba presents her credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 13, Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Cuba Sh.Battsetseg presented
her letter of credence to President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel
During the presentation of her credentials, Ambassador
Sh.Battsetseg extended Mongolian President Kh.Battulga’s warm regards to President
Miguel
Díaz-Canel and reminded him of the invitation from the President Kh.Battulga to pay a visit to Mongolia at his convenience. Emphasizing that
Cuba - the first country in the Americas to establish diplomatic ties
with Mongolia - has a major role in connecting Mongolia with South American
countries, the Ambassador undertook to strengthen friendly relations between
the two countries and place more emphasis on bilateral cooperation in health
care, education and science sectors.
Appreciating Mongolia's strong stance
to end US embargo against Cuba, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel informed that
he is planning to visit Mongolia at the invitation of his Mongolian counterpart
and wished success in the Ambassador’s endeavors to deepen friendly relations
and cooperation between the people of the two countries.
Incidentally, this year marks the 60th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Cuba
and the two countries are joining their efforts to celebrate the important
occasion.
