Cold weather in store for the weekends

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Snowfall and strong blizzards are expected in most parts of the country, with temperature drops on November 16-17.
Snow is expected in the western region, in most parts of central aimags, and in the western parts of eastern aimags on November 16, in the eastern region on November 17, and in the eastern parts of eastern aimags on November 18.
Wind speed will be 18-20 m/sec in most parts of the country on November 16, and in the Gobi and plains on November 17, reaching 24 m/sec at times.
In the depression of Darkhad, in the mountainous areas of Khuvsgul and Khentei, in the head of Zavkhan river, in the basins of Ider, and Tes rivers, the temperature will range from -35 to -40 degrees Celsius during the night, and -22 to -27 during the day.
In mountainous areas of Altai, and Khangai, and in the basins of Orkhon, Kharaa, Yuruu, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, the temperature will be -30 to -35 during the night, and -16 to -21 during the day.
In the southern Gobi region, the temperature will be -17 to -22 during the night, and -8 to -13 during the day.
In other areas, the night-time temperature will be -23 to -28 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be -12 to -17 degrees Celsius. The cold will ease in most parts of the country from November 19.
