Meeting with EBRD representatives

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Member of Parliament Z.Narantuya yesterday received Political Advisor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jonathan Avis and Head of the Bank’s Operation in Mongolia Irina Kravchenko.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Irina Kravchenko briefed about the bank’s ongoing projects and programs in Mongolia. Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on opportunities to support western regional infrastructure development, strengthening capacity of private sector, developing manufacturing and entering into borderland regional markets.
The Bank’s
political advisor Mr. Jonatan Avis clarified about a draft bill on Amendment to
the Constitution of Mongolia. In turn, MP Z.Narantuya informed that a total of 62 MPs
submitted the Constitutional Amendments Bill in June this year. In
compliance with the Speaker’s Resolution No. 199 issued on September 30, 2019, the
working group in charge of the issue was formed to consent and study on organizing a referendum.
