Over 3500 Mongolians benefited from ITEC program

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 14, The Embassy of India celebrated the 55th ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation program) Day, which trains leading personnel.


Ambassador of India to Mongolia M.P.Singh said that India has gained enormous experience over last 30 years in directions of information technology, finance, health, human resource, sustainable development, governance and improving capacity of higher education. " And we are happy with helping social and economic development of Mongolia through ITEC program. Mongolia is one of the countries that get large number of scholarship or some 250 scholarships of ITEC and ICCR. More than 200 thousand specialists, among them over 3500 Mongolians were involved in ITEC over last 50 years. It is pleasant to inform that the Indian side resolved to grant 40 scholarships for training Mongolian engineers and technical and other necessary workers of oil refinery from this year."


More than 3500 Mongolian people were involved in ITEC's specialized programs in directions of making analysis for big data, developing electoral management body capacity, yoga training, scientific and technological innovation policies, banking and finance and management besides attending English courses.
