Joint contemporary dance of professional dancers and dancers in wheelchair to be performed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Joint contemporary dance concert of professional dancers and dancers in wheelchair is to be performed in Mongolia for the first time. In aims of promoting contemporary dance to Mongolian audience and changing public awareness around people in wheelchair, ‘Swinging Wheelchair’ project is being initiated and implemented by ‘Bid Chadna’ NGO with funding of the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development.
The project is open for not only professional dancers also people in wheelchair who have fond of dancing. The selected participants will make rehearsal for three weeks under instruction of founder of ‘YET Company’ and Swiss choreographer Fabian Conn and will perform a concert on October 5 in a theatre in ASEM Villa.
‘Bid Chadna’ NGO runs various activities targeted to persons with disabilities and to the society and works towards changing public attitude. In particular, they have organized activities such as ‘Beauty on Wheelchair’ contest and ‘Bid Chadna’ volunteer program.
