Cooler weather to prevail in most parts of the country this week

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Thunderstorms are expected in northern parts of central and eastern aimags on August 14, in some parts of the country on August 15, and in some parts of central and eastern aimags on August 16.
In mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentei, near Khurenbelchir, in the basin of Terelj river, the night-time temperature will range from +3 to +8 degrees, and the daytime temperature will be +17 to +22.
In the depression of the Great Lakes and in the southern Gobi region, the temperature will be +17 to +22 during the night, and +30 to +35 during the day.
In other areas, the night-time temperature will be +10 to +15 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be +22 to +27 degrees Celsius.
Thus, the National Emergency Management Agency has issued a warning to not swim in rivers and stay near the river bank for long periods of time as the rivers continue to have high water levels.
