Registered unemployed decreased by 10 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the end
of June 2019, the Labor and Social Protection Services Agencies have registered
33.3 thousand job seekers, 69.1 percent of which were unemployed and remaining 30.9
percent were employed but looking for a new job.
Registered unemployed people
decreased by 10.8 percent compared to the previous year and by two percent from
the previous month. A breakdown by gender shows that 52.8 percent were women
among total number of registered unemployed. From total registered unemployed
at nationwide, two percent were with disabilities.
In June 2019, the Labor and
Social Protection Services Agencies have recorded 9110 new unemployed. By the
reasons of new registered unemployed, the highest percentage or 52.1 percent
were people who dismissed from job.
For registered unemployed by
level of education attainment at the end of June 2019, 50 percent had high school
education, 27.7 percent had diploma or bachelor degree, 6.9 percent had technical
and vocational training, 6.1 percent had secondary education, 4.5 percent had
special secondary education, 2.6 percent had elementary school education, 1.3
percent had no education and 0.9 percent had masters and higher level of
education.
From total registered unemployed
at national level, more than half or 55.9 percent was accounted for young people
aged 15-34.
