Mongolians in the UK celebrate Naadam for 20th yearArt & Culture
Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolians in the UK celebrated the Naadam Festival on July 7 in Wimbledon Common in London city.
Following address by Ambassador of Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland N.Tulga, London Naadam officially began with the Mongolia’s national anthem and cultural performance of ‘Nomadic Tunes’ band and talented children from London and Nottingham.
A total of 32 wrestlers participated in wrestling tournament of this year’s festival, in which B.Batbileg won. Moreover, Z.Tamir won in children’s wrestling tournament held for the third year.
Knuckle-bone Shooting Association in Great Britain led by M.Mashbayar also organized knuckle-bone shooting competition and selected their bests
Additionally, ‘Team Mongolia Runners’ club organized this year’s racing which is traditionally organized among children.
E.Odongerel and D.Munkhsaikhan were selected as best-dressed man and woman in the ‘Best Traditional Costume Contest’ named after ‘Broadway Beauty Saloon’.
