Marathon runner B.Munkhzaya takes fourth place at Gold Coast Marathon
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. International Master of Sports B.Munkhzaya won the fourth place at Gold Coast Marathon which took place in Australia on July 6-7 and qualified again for Olympic rights.
Invited to the marathon, B.Munkhzaya ran for 42 kilometers and 195 meters in 2 hours, 29 minute, 18 seconds.
By winning the 6th place in international tournament held in Hong Kong in February this year, she qualified to compete in 2019 World Championships and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
By re-qualifying for the
Olympics with this success, she renewed national record. Moreover, five
Mongolian athletes took part in the tournament and IM Ts.Byambajav qualified to
participate in 2019 World Championships in Athletics, by winning the 11th place.
